Baganga is a 1st-class coastal municipality in Davao Oriental, situated on the southeastern coast of Mindanao, Philippines. It covers 945.5 km²—the largest municipality in the province—and spans 18 barangays. As of the 2020 census, it has around 58,700 residents
Located along the Pacific Ocean, Baganga features long stretches of white-sand beaches, coral reefs, and mangrove forests on the east, while its western area is hilly and forested. The economy is mainly driven by coconut, abaca, and fishing, with copra as a key product.
Baganga enjoys a tropical rainforest climate, typically hot and humid with temperatures ranging from 24–27 °C, and experiences heavy rainfall year-round. Established as a municipality on October 29, 1903, it holds historical roots from both Spanish colonization and later American governance

It is the lead government agency responsible for implementing comprehensive agrarian reform, which includes equitable land distribution, ownership, agricultural productivity, and tenurial security for farmers. DAR's main goal is to improve the quality of life for tillers of the land through these measures.
